Historical backgroung of the college Mamre agriculture and Livestock College was established in 2014 by Roman Catholic church of Njombe diocese. The institute is located in wanging’ombe district about 102km north of Njombe regional headquarter. One of the reasons of its establishment was due to shortage of agricultural extension staffs who located in the rural areas. However was also the response to national agriculture policy for the private sector to work in collaboration with the government for promotion of food security to its people by increase agricultural professionals. The school was formerly running “farmers training center course” before being upgraded to train for certificate course in agriculture general, by September 2015. The main aim for the establishment of this school was to give training so that to cover big shortage of agriculture extension staff which was existing, especially in rural areas found in wanging’ombe, Ludewa, and Makete districts. However that was also to respond to the national agricultural policy for the private sector to work in collaboration with the government to promote and raise the standard of food status in pour country. Also through the establishment of this school, it is now able to train many students in within our districts and region, therefore to reduce expenses to some students who were formally had to be trained far away from their homes. i.e ukirigulu, uyole, tumbi, inyara agricultural schools etc. With the ongoing agriculture needs to the communities in our diocese, the Bishop (RC Diocese of Njombe) and his administration has decided to establish diploma in agriculture general and diploma in agriculture production who will be expected to work in our rural areas where also there is a shortage of such staff. |

Excutive Summary. Mamre agriculture and Livestock College set a formal client charter in March 2014. The decision to do so was based on the need of having a road map for guidance in carrying out college - Plans in line with Njombe Diocese and NACTE plans and programs. The institute requires a clearly formulated charter that sets out a shared vision and a set of objectives that can guide the Institute. The charter also reflects the financial sustainability of the MALC which calls for a proactive response and continuous engagement of all stakeholders. MALC charter is structured into various main sections. Section one gives introduction and background information of the College and provides the rationale of the Plan based on the Management of the MALC, section two presents situational analysis of MALC, Vision, Mission, Objectives, Values and key Result Areas. Section three provides Plans projections, strategic objectives, perceived risks and assumptions. Section four presents the implementation of the Strategic Plan and its matrix. Section five illustrates Monitoring and Evaluation of the Strategic plan. Section six gives Projections of Budget requirements with cost estimates for the implementation of each Strategic Objective and Activities. |
